Ever traveled from city to city for work? There is something to be said for a place (chain) that will be acceptable to a large group’s tastes, that you know has certain things on a menu, has a familiar (and spacious) feel? Not very surprising at all.

Bad writing. Bad run on joke. Bad for you professionally to keep writing on this sad site. Really bad to see that nobody in this so-called collective either has the guts to rebut the poorly researched op ed screed that has been posted over the past week, and/or have their own name and content removed*. Is that some sort of ridiculous “editorial” move, or are you all in agreement? God, I hope for your sakes that it is the former**.

You would be so much better off as writers if you devoted your energies to unsuccessfully pitching pieces elsewhere rather than “happily” continuing to post here and pretend as if nothing happened.

**This piece reminds me of all the instances where somebody used the word “nigger” in my presence, and thought it was O.K. because I was too “light” and behaved “differently,” so it wasn’t directed towards me. Your failed wit makes me want to gag.

The booths are nice, but if you get stuck at a table…your on top of the people next to you. Personally, I love the avacado egg rolls. As to the article itself, I’ve never taken the time to analyze the correlation between race,gender, and restaurant preferences. I think there are too many variables to determine what causes people to eat at different restaurants. What was interesting about your piece is the idea that we cannot talk openly about race. The fact that we all walk on eggshells to avoid being called a racist is the very reason we have not been able to discuss our differences, embrace them, and move on!

As someone who possesses a set of long limbs I can tell you that the Cheesecake booths and table setups are much more comfortable (and spread out) than your typical restaurant. It’s like getting the emergency aisle vs. being crammed into a standard coach seat.

A bit off the subject, but Zach’s post reminded me of a question Charles Barkley once posed as to why professional athletes and celebrities are “comped” and given so much free stuff when really they should be the last ones to get it.
